Brian is a graduate in business administration from the University of California (Berkeley) and he earned an M.B.A. degree from that institution. He is also a graduate of the formal Registered Representative training program at the New York Institute of Finance in New York City.
Brian worked on Wall Street for several years in management positions with Dominick and Dominick, Inc., one of the original members of the New York Stock Exchange. He was also employed as a retail registered representative for NYSE firms in Seattle and in San Diego. In 1990, Brian formed White Securities, Inc., a discount brokerage firm headquartered in La Mesa, Calif. Ten years later, he sold White Securities, Inc. to concentrate on reverse mortgages originations at Senior American Funding, Inc., along with financial planning, retirement planning, and insured investments through Heritage Tax & Insurance Services, Inc. Both corporations were formed as 50/50 partnerships with Matthew Copley. The corporate offices moved to the current location in Mission Valley in the year 2004.
Brian is a certified estate planner and a registered financial consultant. He is also a licensed broker with the California Department of Real Estate as well as a licensed mortgage broker in California. He is an approved member of the National Ethics Bureau. Both Senior American Funding, Inc. and Heritage Tax and Insurance Services, Inc. are accredited longtime members of the Better Business Bureau where they each hold A+ (highest) ratings.
Brian and his wife, Maureen, have lived in East San Diego County since 1974. They raised two daughters locally, Meghan and Erin, both of whom graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and both went on to earn master’s degrees. Meghan is a nurse practitioner at San Francisco General Hospital and Erin teaches seventh grade at Solorsano Middle School in Gilroy, Calif.
